That was the first thing Sergeant Sagara Sousuke thought as the intercom clicked off. He had been lying here awake for—well, due to the absence of time-keeping devices, he didn’t know how long. It bothered him slightly that he had absolutely no memory of how he had come to be here. Fortunately, as far as Sousuke could tell, nothing seemed to pose a threat to him here. He’d already checked under the bed, and if a bomb was placed in his desk, the proper way to make sure it would kill him was if he were to open the drawer.
Carefully, the sergeant (deciding that it was highly unlikely a mine could have been set to go off underneath the linoleum floor) swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood up. He frowned at the clothes he had on--definitely nothing military standard-issue, that was certain. The second thing he noticed was that there was no way to turn on the lights--the room was pitch black. If he had his night vision goggles, this wouldn't have been a problem. But as it stood, he had no idea where his gear was.
Frowning, Sousuke leaned back in thought, brow furrowed. The last thing he remembered was the fight in China and Kaname...
Wait, where was Kaname?
Instantly, Sousuke was out the door, flashlight in hand. "CHIDORI!!"
