Technically speaking, Aidou had far less to worry about than the others in terms of wasting away his time within these walls--his endurance and lifespan were far greater than anyone else's. A few months... even a year... that was hardly anything compared to the hundreds of years he had yet to live.
But if anything, he was the most eager to get out. Insults like this didn't go unpunished when they were inflicted on a vampire. He felt the passage of time more acutely than anyone, too.
To say they were almost out of time because some unhelpful, human rebels had assigned them a superficial timeline was irritating, all considered.
"So I keep hearing." He didn't sound impressed. "Except details are awfully scarce."

"I have. But that's an awfully bold claim for a situation like this."
