The boy shrugged, "He wasn't himself. I goaded him until he had something else to think about besides whatever happened to him." Artemis smirked at Haku and tapped his temple once, "Anger redirection. I wrote something on the subject a while ago.

"Abarai-san is my ally, and a good one at that. He can't help me if he's too busy moping and refusing to face whatever is bothering him. So I figured, he doesn't know me very well, I'm very good at making people angry... why not goad him until he sounds like himself again?" Artemis smiled pleasantly.

"Granted he'll probably strike me or make an example of me, or just take out his anger--but that's alright. It's just the way humans work."
