"Alchemy," he corrected, smiling. "And it's fine, I put the note up after you left the note about the map. And you don't have to leave a note up there--I'll just make a note for myself about it later in my journal." He didn't want to leave too many notes for the nurses to see hanging around, after all. "And I can change the metal from one type to another. Technically I could change dirt into a metal by messing with the atomic composition, but it's going to be a lot easier to use something that's already a similar element. That takes a lot less energy."
Al nodded, frowning as well. "Yeah, but I think you would want a group going down to the basement with you anyway from what it sounds like. Brother and I could give it a shot with you at some point, but I think he'll want to keep looking for the third floor right now."
