The greeting that Aigis offered was a measured one, and understandably so. She knew the state that Castiel had been in, and while he was healing steadily, he certainly wasn't back to normal yet.
Granted, he could never be completely back to normal in this place. Not when he was confined to a body that wasn't truly his, cut off from using most of his Grace. He could hardly even spread his wings.
He nodded to her, though expressed some surprise when she mentioned that she was in the mood to eat. Would she feel that way if she was still sick? Castiel certainly hadn't felt up to eating much when he'd had the illness (and even afterward, due to the surgery), so was it possible that she'd already found the cure?
That would be good news, of course, but it would also mean that Castiel had gone to a lot of effort for nothing. "Have you found a cure?" he asked as he took a small bite of his own food. Surprisingly enough, it went down without a problem.
