It looked like the questions were getting more typical as they went on. Guy only hoped that this stranger took his words at face value and didn't go ghost hunting like he seemed to want to. It just wasn't worth it, even if the opinion of a pretty girl was on the line. Whoever she was, she'd probably prefer if this guy stayed safe.

"I think I hit the forty day mark a little while back, but to be completely honest with you, I kind of lost count." Guy smiled disarmingly and went back to his breakfast. He realized that a number like that was bound to blindside the new patient to an extent, but there wasn't any good way to sugarcoat it either.

"Oh! And my name's Guy, by the way." Now that they were further into a conversation, it seemed only right to exchange names.
