Nina reached up and ran a hand nimbly through her hair, tucking a portion of it behind her ear. Then she shook her head. "No, nothing that unusual," she said, sounding just the tiniest bit deflated. Unusual could be a good thing - no monsters - but it also meant no clues, nothing worth investigating.
Several minutes passed before Nina began to grow restless.
"Wherever we're going, I think we should start going there now." She fidgeted. She knew Lana was still coming, and she felt guilty at the idea that the other woman would show up to an empty hallway. But Nina was willing to abandon Lana for the sake of making progress; she only hoped Lana would forgive her. "We can't wait any longer. I want to get somewhere tonight."
