It was nice of Guy to offer to turn back, and it was just like him to be willing to take the long route just to make her feel better. But that didn’t seem entirely fair to Guy. Anise paused for a moment to think, then pushed the door open, just to get a clear look at the weather. Was it bad enough to justify a big detour like that…?

She stood there, staring at the raindrops plopping in the scattered puddles in the field, and soon dropped her head in defeat. “I guess we already came this far…” she muttered. Anise wasn’t happy about going out in the rain, but it wasn’t nearly heavy enough to justify making Guy walk her all the way around the other side of the institute. “Let’s just hurry over there real quick.”
