Night 67: F21-30 Hallway

It was as Rita suspected. The Head Doctor didn't seem fazed at all by the patients' successes in curing the illness he'd spread. Maybe this really was just a game to him. Or else, he had a different goal in mind...

Well, whatever. Night had fallen and it was time for Rita to go. She'd already changed into her regular clothing well before the nighttime announcements. Having her own clothing meant she had a lot more pockets than before, and was able to go without carrying a backpack. The only things she needed to grab were her sword whip and her flashlight.

Try not to get lost. The Head Doctor's warning was an odd one. Rita expected that he'd been scheming something with the 'extra help' he promised the patients earlier, but was this alluding to something else entirely? Either way, Rita was going to move forward no matter what.

The hall containing Aigis' room was quiet, dead quiet. No stirrings in the dark from beasts who shouldn't be there. That was a positive sign indeed. Aidou listened intently, but the corridor continued to stay at rest.

Perhaps she was asleep as she had been before? That'd likely be the best thing for her...

Silently, he tried the door to her room, attempting to keep the rusty hinges' creaking to a minimum. Inside, just as the previous night, he found Aigis in her bed, looking for all the world like she were resting. And, more importantly, looking human.

Something inside of him was relieved to see it. Administering the "cure" would be simple enough if it was as easy as ingesting a plant. Had she done it already? Had she gotten her hands on one of the flowers? It was a little early to tell now, but if she had, perhaps in the morning her symptoms wouldn't be so pronounced...

The vampire was tempted to wake her up and demand answers right away, but seeing her asleep held him back. Besides, Sasuke would be waiting. Failing to meet up with Sasuke would put the rest of the night's plans at risk for failure, as they so typically were.

In the morning.
