There were no claws this time, but there was weight, the huge animal pressing up against the wounds from the night before. He could feel pain blossom in his stomach and ribs, and he staggered backwards, falling against the wall even as his vines found purchase. His enemy was half on top of him, and he did his best to try and kick at it, more in angry retaliation than in a rational attempt at pulling himself free.
