It was a bit astonishing, really. When he was in a near panic state, the pain in his ankle was definitely there, but it had been ignorable. He'd been able to put it on the back-burner as he focused on fighting and escaping. But now that he'd managed to calm down, the pain suddenly seemed amplified and impossible to disregard.
After Klavier found his way back to the Medical Wing entrance, he finally decided to stop and examine his wound. Not that he knew much about what to do other than the most basic of basics, but there was no way he could leave something like a major bite alone. He pulled up his pant leg enough to get a good look at it. As expected, he was bleeding. It had gone down and was seeping into his sock, still wet and going. Nothing profuse where he had to worry about dying of blood loss, but he needed to clean and dress it quickly.
The problem, however, was that it was a little swollen. ...Again, he didn't know anything about bites. It was possible that might have been common, but he found the detail worrisome. Swelling usually meant the body was trying to push something out, didn't it? Or maybe he didn't know what he was talking about. Either way, he needed to address it quickly. Hopefully after he had, this burning sensation would go away as well.
Unfortunately, he didn't have much in his room as far as medical supplies went. No bandages, though he supposed he could rough it and cut up some clothes he wasn't using to make some. There was no substitute for his lack of disinfectant, though. Nothing to help clean his wound at all, actually. Not even water, as desperate a choice as that was.
One would think that he would have an easy time finding such supplies in a hospital, but he didn't know exactly where to look. And right then, wandering around to look for a supply closet or something like that didn't seem like a very bright idea. Especially in this particular area. Right now, he just wanted to get as far away from here as possible.
