It was the same size as the hallway downstairs, but it seemed all the more bigger when she was alone in it. Footsteps felt louder, more clear, and she was glad that the soft soles of her shoes didn't echo all that much. It would just reinforce the emptiness of the space.

Still, she'd be happier when she was clear of it.
