"That's all we can really hope for at this point," she agreed. She had never been much of an optimist, but considering the idea that there not even be a way home was too much to ask of her. If Landel had brought them here, there had to be a way back.
She paused at the sound of a knock on the door, and her hand drifted to her gun for a moment before she realized, a little sheepishly, that anything that posed a threat in this place probably wouldn't knock.
