"Like a machine or something?" she asked, figuring Zero would know more about that than she would. She couldn't say she had any idea whether a machine could get someone so ill, but in truth, there were quite a few things she didn't know about them. Sure, there were plenty of them scattered all throughout Basel, but it wasn't as if most ordinary people knew anything about how machines worked.

"But you know what's still really bugging me, Zero?" Leanne continued, idly shuffling the cards in her hands.
