Lloyd shrugged back at the question. "I have no idea. I just can't figure out how else you wouldn't remember what happened next."

Tsurugi was right, though. The how wasn't nearly as important as figuring out how to stop it. Maybe Lloyd would see something tonight that might give him a clue. He wasn't planning on going out this time. He'd just be exploring, so who knew what he might find?

"Thanks, by the way," he said after a thought. "I don't think I got what it really meant at the time, but you warned me about stuff I really needed to know. It would have been bad for me if you hadn't. I owe you one for that."
