Guy's instruction to 'stay safe' finally made him pull his hands from his face. Guy was off to find out about this new clue and Locke was lying there feeling sorry for himself. Sure, staying safe was wise, but doing nothing was stupid. He wasn't just going to lay around and hope someone found the solution. Besides, Landel had said five people were going to change, he didn't feel any different than his seemingly usual state of miserable, but what if one of those five was Tolten? He couldn't risk it.

The treasure hunter forced himself to sit up, pausing to let the room come back into focus before standing. He was just reaching for the pipe, forsaking the boots for tonight in favor of time, when the knock and Edgar's voice registered just as he turned towards the now opening door.

A small sigh escaped him when he saw both of his friends there and safe. Well, that was a relief, at least. "Edgar. Tolten. Good to see you're both okay. And still human, that's good too." He tried to smile and keep his usual light-hearted demeanor, but he knew both were dimmer than usual; it was hard to maintain when every blink made the room swirl a bit.
