Still, he readily accepted the other's hand, and the warmth in his voice was genuine. Claude at least seemed nice enough, even if he wasn't so sure about this place.
The other's answer made him blink in surprise, though. "You've been here that long?" He'd been told this place was a hospital of some kind. He'd also been told it wasn't. If it was, wouldn't someone who was sick get better in that time?
And if it wasn't, that meant Claude had been imprisoned here for more than a month.
Either way, the brunette's face etched into a frown. "I..." He stopped. He'd been about to repeat what Tsurugi had said about what happened at night, but the nurse's admonition was fresh in his mind. Was what Tsurugi said really the truth? If he was sick and making things up... Maybe Claude would know. Even if Claude was sick, too, he probably wouldn't say the same things that Tsurugi had told him before. Mind made up, he started again. "Someone told me it was dangerous," he said cautiously. "Was he telling the truth?"
