"I'm Claude," he said, and he reached out to offer Lloyd a handshake. "Nice to meet you." Well, as nice as it could be in a place like this, but that went without saying.

Either way, it sounded like his new roommate hadn't been here long at all. He darkly wondered how many more people would have to show up here before they managed to find a way to take the institute down. Claude didn't even want to contemplate it.

"And I've been here...gosh..." He actually had to think about that one. Scratching the side of his cheek, he inwardly tallied up the numbers. "Over a month by now. Maybe about forty days?" Forty days and still no sign of escape. He couldn't believe it sometimes.

"I remember when I first woke up here, though," he added, thinking back on that day with a soft frown. "It was in the middle of the night. Has anyone told you about that yet?"
