The warning wasn't really necessary, since Barnaby figured a lot of this was going to hurt regardless. Still, he braced himself, and managed to stay silent outside of the quick, shallow breaths he couldn't control.

Maybe it was his imagination, but there was a strange green light emitting from the southern part of the room. For the life of him, he couldn't figure out why. He just knew that he was cold, and his heart was beating far too fast for his liking.
