Maybe it was just due to the fact that traveling around to different worlds like that sounded like a job for more than just three people, but that had been the reality.
Sora wondered if he would have made any more progress here at Landel's if Goofy and Donald had been here from the start. There wasn't anything he hadn't been able to face with the two of them, after all. Still, in the end he was glad they hadn't been exposed to this place. Donald might still be brainwashed out there -- Goofy too, for that matter -- but at the moment, that was better for them than being here.
