Initial irritation aside, though, she wasn't really angry. This was how introductions went; she'd gone through enough of them to know that by now. She hadn't believed Conklin when he'd told her what was going on, and all he'd said was that he'd never heard of the HRL.
Hopefully the katana and the handgun strapped to her side were points in her favor rather than against. She hadn't seen enough horror movies to know.

I'm going down the hall to get medicine for this--" she indicated the rash across her arm-- "and you should probably come with me, just to be on the safe side."
