The beam of light shook Locke out of his thoughts and he looked up with a smile, though he could feel it was weaker than normal. He was happy to see Tolten, yes, but more than that he was so, so, relieved. Tolten was here, fine, and human, and that was all Locke could have hoped for. It seemed they'd dodged whatever this sickness really was...which was probably the best news he'd heard all day.
