The only reason Rapunzel hadn't insisted she go straight to the medical wing with Tsubaki was Eugene. He was still hurt from the night before, and even if he hadn't been, he wouldn't have known where to go at night without her anyway. She trusted Tsubaki to get to the wing first and scope things out, and defend herself if necessary. Still, she didn't want to waste much time. If Tsubaki or anyone else needed backup, she wanted them all to be there as soon as possible. They had to get to that cure and take it, at all costs. The faster, the better.
She armed herself as best she could: pan in one hand, dagger in the other, radio clipped to the waistband of her skirt, and a section of hair roped around the crook of her elbow like a coiled cowboy's rope. Not that Rapunzel knew what a cowboy was — but if she had, she would have thought they were worth imitating. And with that, she was off to Eugene's room.
