While Guy was curious to hear more from Tear (especially about these announcements and what had apparently been waiting in the entry room), he couldn't ignore the fact that they had been standing here for a few moments while he was clutching a tray full of food. For that reason, he started moving them toward an empty table even as he spoke.
"So he was broadcasting to a mainly empty institute? I guess I shouldn't be surprised by that." They all knew that Landel just loved to hear the sound of his own voice, so it probably hardly mattered to the man if he had an audience or not. In a way, though, it was a good thing that Tear had been left behind, since now she could report back on things.
Once they reached a table, Guy sat down and grabbed for his bagel, taking a quick bite. The salmon touched his tongue and he resisted the urge to close his eyes in pleasure. "We didn't make it inside," he said after a pause. It was pathetic that they'd been unable to even get that far, but Guy was trying to focus on the fact that they'd remained more or less uninjured. "Did you get there?"
