"That's nice." Ilia had to fight to keep from leaning in to pressure him with presence. For some reason, she had a feeling she could get away with it since this was Claude, but even if she could that didn't make it right. It wasn't like he owed her explanations for anything, after all.

She placed a hand on her knee, leaning back so she could keep her eyes on Claude's face to gauge his reactions. "Did you spend any time with... I dunno, any friends yesterday?"

Ilia shrugged affecting nonchalance. "Or maybe someone special?"
