As she looked the young man over, Anise caught a glimpse of something she hadn't noticed before sitting down: a rash on one arm, much like the one she had. Her smile faded for a moment when she recognized it, but she quickly recovered it. It was hard to think about what the implications of that mark were, but fortunately, putting on a smile under any circumstances was precisely the kind of thing Anise was good at.
