In the end, Soma had decided against buying anything. There wasn't much she really needed that she'd be able to get past the nurses, and she wasn't really in the right state of mind to argue with them if they decided to confiscate anything.

She'd hoped the fresh air would do her some good, but the truth was that she felt even worse by the end of the day. It took effort to even keep walking, and it almost felt like she had to pull herself up the steps and into the bus. She didn't dare pull down her mitten and check on the rash for fear it had spread. Until they figured out what was going on, it was probably best to hide it.

The bus was still relatively empty when she boarded. She spotted Sora sitting alone and gave him a brief smile as she passed, but it was the other passenger on board who caught her attention. She hadn't seen Castiel for a few days; even if she didn't know him very well, he might still be interested in discussing what had gone on that night. Brief acquaintance or not, that wasn't something you just brushed off easily.
