[From Here]

Well, now he was getting somewhere. Options always meant progress; although, admittedly, his options were limited. Left or right? He knew the right would take him to the main hallway of the place and that would lead to, as far as he could tell, the rest of the building. The left was an unknown. He didn't have any idea of the general size or shape of the building so the possibilities were fairly vast. For all he knew, it would lead to a dead end or, perhaps, it could lead to a whole other wing that Johnny had no knowledge of.

He always prided himself on being fairly adventurous and independent...but a part of him did wish he had a map or a guide; asking for help wasn't favorable but sometimes it was necessary. In some cases.

A thought occurred to him that made him chuckle into the darkness: if Cherry were here, he'd say a normal person would pray for guidance. Not that Johnny was normal; vampires couldn't pray......but,then...he wasn't a vampire here, was he? Not really.

His smile turning slightly bitter, he shrugged and closed his eyes. He felt silly. "Dear lord, who art in heaven, I ask that you give me a sign." His tone was bored throughout the whole thing and to a person used to prayers it would have sounded fake...but it was a prayer...and it hadn't burned.

"Huh." It left him with a strange feeling. He didn't know what to think of this yet. He thought he felt happy but he wasn't entirely certain. There were too many emotions attached to this, he'd think on it later. For now he figured he ought to, seriously, pick a direction. God didn't answer vampire's prayers, after all.
