He'd tried to write off the ominous radio messages as more of this place's bullshit, but as he leaned on a wall for support, he could see there was more and more truth to the story.
He despised the weak feeling in his legs, the weary muscles that just shouldn't be. Still, he would rather carry on doggedly than let the bastards here know they were getting to him.
