Barnaby eyed the sword, but managed to hide his skepticism. Standard issue? Yeah, right. In this day and age, there was no use for such outdated weapons outside of ceremonial use. Still, the fact this man had managed to somehow smuggle a blade into the institute was significant. If they could eventually learn how he managed to pull it off, they could try to use that knowledge to their advantage. Not that Barnaby had seen anything worth stabbing since arriving here, but there was already enough in this place that didn't quite add up.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sudden announcement that blared over the intercom -- if anyone could even call that an announcement, anyway. "No," Barnaby answered Castiel, his eyebrows faintly raised. "The numbers were probably binary, but..." He couldn't decipher something like that on his own. Most people couldn't.
"Someone might write about it on the bulletin board tomorrow, though," he remarked. Not that it would necessarily amount to much, but perhaps a few of them could pool their resources together to decode it.
