Daemon had no sooner gotten a foot in the door before an ear-splitting shriek had him wincing and wishing they'd decided to go a different direction. It looked as if the Sunroom wasn't as empty as they'd hoped and Daemon's wince turned into a grimace as he spotted the form hurtling towards them from the darkness.
"Mother Night," he muttered under his breath, wondering if this was for real. He mostly doubted it, because he hoped most of his fellow captives had more survival instincts than this, but then again, considering some of the people he'd encountered around here after dark, sometimes it was very hard to tell.
Still, his hands tightened a little about his staff as he took a step to the side and out of the path of the wailing maniac. He'd let Renji decide what to do with him. That should prove to be amusing, at the very least. He shot the redhead a sardonic grin and waved a hand at him as if to say, he's all yours.
