Aigis moved into the hallway, standing in the middle so as to be easily noticed once the vampire made his way there. She glanced around the hallway in the dark, noticing a few others with flashlights. Without her own she felt a little vulnerable, but she knew these halls well. She had Minato's Evoker with her tonight. She would be fine if a monster attacked. Even with her powers back to normal, as Landel had so mockingly reminded them in his latest announcement, she was confident she would notice any attacker before they quite reached her. Her sensors were not one hundred percent dead.
Aigis touched the bow around her throat, where it just hid her butterfly birthmark. Her papillion heart. It both frightened and excited her what she knew was to come. It was a scary experience from what she remembered, but it was also an affirmation of her humanity here. The blood she had bled yesterday had proved it, if Erika-san was to be believed.
It was because she was human that she could help in this matter. That was what Aigis told herself, anyway.
