At the intercom's announcement, Tear took pause in her nightly preparations to consider a single sentence. The Head Doctor had lamented the loss of a her, and in that instant, the Melodist knew Jill/Lydia had at last stood beyond his reach. Whether of her own choosing or another's, it remained to be unseen, but the fact stayed: there existed ways to escape his grasp. Guy was likely thinking the same--considering the possibility of freedom to be concrete.
One could only hope their chances were about as good.
Everything else, however, she threw aside. Tonight, Tear couldn't fail in her endeavors; it wouldn't be an option, especially when she had been entrusted Peter's supplies. It would be a disservice to everyone involved if she could not finish her investigations properly, no?
After wishing luck to her departing roommate, she followed suit.
