All things considered, it was a million times easier to get a picture of another prisoner than it was to figure out even the basics about Martin Landel, despite the fact that the Head Doctor seemed to come from a familiar version of Earth, whereas prisoners could come from all sorts of places. When Tsubaki compared how long she’d been in the Institute to how much she actually knew about Landel, she recognized how sparse her knowledge was. He was a mysterious figure.

Her smile retained a somewhat humble cast. “I’m sorry, there’s probably others out there who could explain more than me. There’s a military force he has a tense relationship with; they fired him and he just recently came back. It sounds like he has to report to people higher up.
