Erika didn't even have time to react to the other cat that had followed them, though she supposed there was no need for her to focus on that; Sync was doing a good job of protecting the both of them. He was enjoying himself, wasn't he? The girl huffed, not sure if she should be praising him or telling him to get lost, but that could wait until she saw the other person who was supposed to see them. If that person bothered to show up. Naturally, there were better things to do tonight and she could easily see their new friend's plans being derailed. Not that she liked it.
"Of course not. What made you think I'd be punished?" The detective smiled wryly, knowing she had actually been expecting some sort of punishment. Erika didn't even have to clean up that godforsaken mess, which was a plus and made her feel rather important. Hopefully, that horrid blanket man who bothered her when she was first getting her "supplies" was the idiot tasked with cleaning up her mess. "I didn't even have to clean it up. I do appreciate that, as I have far more important things to do." Like making blanket forts, apparently.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw another shape lurking in the darkness; it had a very odd shape, like it was made out of legs or something. Erika stopped and pointed, deciding to ruin Sync's fun and not give that monster an opening to attack her. "By the way, you might want to take care of that thing over there, it looks hungry."
