The rest of the hallways weren't much better. Badou wasn't a squeamish guy by nature. He knew what the inside of a person's head looked like after the skull had been shattered point blank by a spray of bullets, and he'd stomped right through it on more than one occasion. He'd picked bone fragments out of his hair. But this was... extreme. And not in a good way.
The place reeked of blood and burnt flesh and a lot of other unpleasant things he didn't really want to identify. He did stop at a couple of corpses, all monsters though that wasn't entirely reassuring. The place had never been crawling with so many at once.
