When Sora stepped out of the door and into the hall, all he saw for a moment was red. It wasn't the kind of red that he wore when he was in his Valor Form, but a darker, rustier color that Sora knew to associate with blood at this point. But it was all over the place, covering the floor and the walls.
It was worse than even that, though. If it had just been blood, maybe he would have been able to deal with it, but the body parts and pieces of flesh and everything else mixed in was almost too much for the boy to handle.
He wanted to back against the wall, but he realized he'd just get blood on his clothing that way. His other instinct was to move away from it, but for some reason he couldn't bring his legs to lead him forward. For a while, all he could do was stare in morbid fascination.
When the Heartless died, they didn't bleed. It was much cleaner than this. Sora had fought plenty of monsters here, but not on this level. He realized that some other patients had probably done this with their regained powers, but the sight of it bothered him instead of invigorating him. The monsters had done nothing but give them trouble until now, but tearing them apart like this seemed like it was too much.
For once, Sora realized he didn't know what to say.
