Day 24: Intercom, Dinner

The intercom jingle rang out both inside and outside the institute on speakers loud enough to broadcast clearly across the recreational field.

"It's been a busy day, hasn't it? Well, fortunately for all of us, it's nearly over, and we can all look forward to some rejuvenating shut-eye--that is, after dinner, of course."

The Head Doctor chuckled.

"Supper for tonight is going to consist of individual servings of chicken pot pie, with mashed potatoes and peas as sides. You may ask your nurse about the usual selection of drinks, and... Oh! Some of you might find that you have some new guests in your rooms belonging to... Group 5, I believe...? Please see to it that our new patients spend their first night at Landel's Institute as peacefully as possible!"

He paused, then added:

"Oh, and Nurse Hondor? Could you please report to my office? Thank you."

The intercom clicked off.

[ OOC: Remember how dinner shift works--everyone posts to this post with individual threads for each room. New characters waking up during this shift will do so in their respective threads, though if your roommate's player is unable to play with you during your intro, feel free to work something out so that your roommate is taking a nap or something. Faust was in much better spirits after the last shift. There were hints of drugs in his future. He smiled at the nurse, who seemed relived that Faust wasn't going to attack him the way he'd attacked the other male nurse that morning.

He was left on his own, no roommate in sight, and he sat down to eat and work out a plan. Notebook beside him, he started to write.

Darman returned to his room slightly flushed - he'd gone through as much of his remembered exercise routine as much as possible - but in a better mood. And while he probably hadn't pushed himself as far as he could without the threat of death looming over his head in the form of Kaminoan supervisors or droids, he'd gotten more exercise than he had recently. He felt...accomplished.

And wide awake. There was no way he'd make the mistake of sleeping through the night shift a second time.

The clone was also starving; an accelerated metabolism combined with the exercise saw to it that he was hungrier than usual. Entering his cell, Darman's eyes flicked about, lighting first on Faust quietly eating, and no intruders. And his dinner, laid out on his desk. Nodding a crisp hello to his cell mate, Darman sat down and began to eat his meal, packing it away and trying to decide his course of action for the night.

Faust glanced up and nodded a greeting as well before returning to his notes.

Whatever it was that his roommate was planning, it wasn't really his concern.
