Ippo had his apology on the tip of his tongue until whoever he hit began to scream, then his courtesy flew out with window as he began to scream like a frightened child too. Had he stumbled upon a patient currently being attacked by a monster? It all happened so fast, he could get no bearing on the situation except flailing in unison with the screaming lump in front of him.

A bright light hit his eyes and blinded him momentarily, but it was enough time for his attacker to wiggle past his nonexistent defenses and strike him across the face with the butt of what Ippo assumed was a flashlight. Another hand caught him in the jaw and finally across the nose. That was the icing on the cake which pushed Ippo away. If he could just remove himself from this cluster fuck of hysteria, they could fight this terrible evil together as one!
