So far, so good -- but Woody hadn't forgotten the way "monsters" could just pop up out of nowhere here. For all he knew, some animal...creature-thing was stalking him, waiting for the right moment to pounce. Wouldn't that be a wonderful way start to the evening. As if waking up with a huge gap in his memory wasn't exciting enough...
Biting his lower lip, Woody glanced over his shoulder and briefly shined his light behind himself. He only saw a few human-shaped figures, but that did little to put him at ease. Landel's Institute wasn't exactly a bastion of sanity, after all. With his luck, some raving lunatic was bound to charge after him, and--
Woody didn't get to finish that thought. Before he could register what happened, something short and wide plowed right into him. Heart jumping into his throat, Woody stumbled back, violently flailing his arms in an attempt to thwart whatever had ambushed him. "AHHH!!"
