Claude rapidly blinked as he tried to regain his bearings. With how often they found themselves transported to different areas these days, one would think he'd be used to it by now, but he still found it disorienting. The sudden transition was too similar to their trip to the coliseum for his liking; however, the scent of thick trees and damp soil somehow managed to put him more at ease for the moment. It reminded him of Shingo Forest.
The ruins were an odd sight, though. Did it contain a prize or another challenge? Before Claude could ask as much, though, he realized with a small jolt of panic that someone was missing. Guy voiced the same question he'd suddenly thought, and a cold sensation much worse than that ice water washed over him.
"I-I don't know," he answered, unable to mask his concern for the girl. Frowning, he gazed around in hopes of locating her. "Anise?!" He sucked in a small breath through clenched teeth, and his eyes grew unusually hard. "If those bastards did something to her..." Raising his voice, he continued calling for her. "Anise!"
