There were suddenly more people out here than there had been earlier. Just how many were here, anyway? And they were all human and wearing the same uniforms...this had to mean something. Or maybe it meant nothing at all.
Zero tried the other doors in the branch hallway he was in, finding them all to be locked. This brought him back out to the main hallway, where he began to wander in search of anything useful. With everyone going in separate directions, it was once again hard to know which way to go to find that medicine.
His thoughts went back to the two humans he'd run into before, how they had so easily believed him when he'd said there had been a giant spider in the room behind him. Were the spiders that common around here? Or just beasts in general?
Just what was this place, anyway?
It was starting to seem more like a surreal dream than reality. Perhaps that was why Zero hadn't thought to ask those humans about this place or why they were here. If it were a dream, it didn't matter, right? He'd wake up soon, if he wasn't dead after all...
... But that spider's kick had hurt. That was something a dream could not do. He'd felt terror in dreams. But never physical pain.
