Now in the main hallway, Sai stopped. He didn't immediately see anyone else from his group meaning he'd either missed them (which was highly unlikely) or that they had yet to arrive. He just needed to stand out of the way of the main crowd now, somewhere his fellow ninja would still be able to see him, and wait for the others to arrive. Any spot along the wall would do, so he picked a spot and stood to wait.
As he waited, he watched the others passing in the hall. There were some familiar faces, but many that he just didn't recognize. How many new patients had come and gone while he hardly noticed, he wondered. The ninja had been focused heavily on his own goals recently, which was probably good in many ways but still meant he wasn't learning as much about others as he used to. Perhaps he should change that in the near future.
