Mike let Niikura do most of the talking. It was probably better that way. His voice tended to make people squeamish when they first heard it. He had the voice of a serial killer, not a ninja turtle that secretly fought for justice and freedom.

Mike had a bit more experience with it. Actually, this guy looked like he didn't have much experience with weird stuff. Wasn't a fighter, or if he was, he was damn good at hiding it. Had to be a civilian, through and through.
"He's new," Mike answered for Phoenix, smirking slightly. "Good thing we found him. Better he does that deer-in-the-headlights look at us instead of some monster before it chows down."
