Night 72: F11-20 Hallway

"You ready to go, Tsubaki?" Korra asked as she flicked her flashlight on and off to make sure it was in working order. After the damage she'd done last night, she was determined to get something done tonight. According to the bulletin, there was something to be done in the library. A special book, a secret staircase...

They were gonna get out of here, she could feel it. There was no other option, in Korra's stubbornly optimistic mind. It wouldn't be long, now.

With the Head Doctor all but confirming that his office lay on the third floor, Tsubaki had a new sense of hope. Heading that way had to be the right thing to do, and with Korra at her side, they had more reason than ever to put their very best foot forward. Tsubaki needed to make up for her own failures, for not being able to protect Korra from the Institute's Special Counselling in the first place; she could do that if she had the other girl with her where she could be there if anything else happened.

"Yes! Let's work hard! If the Head Doctor bothered to mention it, it must mean we're headed in the right direction."

She balled her hands into fists where she stood in the doorway, equally determined.

"Tonight we might be able to catch up with Sora and the others, and things will go much better," she said. Then her stance softened, a smile coming to her face. "I'm we're going out together."

[rebonding]

"Yeah, and it means that he's feeling the pressure." Head Doc had been talking excessively recently... And there was that random disappearance today for him to do 'important stuff.'

"Let's get a move on, then." She slipped out the door, waving Tsubaki along. Korra was confident, tonight. She started down the hall quickly.
