Night 67: Main Hallway, 1-East
[From here.]
It seemed that they really were the first pair of people heading out this way, if the silence in this part of the hall was anything to judge by. Castiel could hear some voices behind them, so there was a chance that other patients would catch up with them soon.
That was fine. With any luck, there would be enough flowers to go around. And if something did end up attacking them, it would be better to have back-up.
As he tried to force his wounded body closer to the next hall they'd need to take to reach the greenhouse yard, Castiel glanced over at Lust. "How about you?" he asked. "Who are you doing this for?" He found it hard to believe that she was coming out of the goodness of her artificial heart.

"Friends," she said, with a small shrug. "I made a promise to help someone. I intend to keep it."
She didn't make true promises lightly. But she had sworn to him that she would find a way, a better way, and so she would. If nothing else, she would prove to him that her word meant something. Even if he refused to see anything beyond that, he would have to see that trust, at least, could be given and taken between them.
She slowed to nearly a halt, casually, stretching as though that were her reason for slowing. She didn't want to run Castiel into the ground, and he was surely pushing himself, keeping the pace he was managing...

She couldn't help what she was any more than anyone else could.
Castiel noticed the effort she was making to give him time to catch up. It was subtle, but he always knew when he was being a burden. It smarted, but complaining about it would only slow him down.
"Fair enough," he said once he'd caught up. "Let's keep moving." He turned to the left, down the next hallway.

Loki paused to listen, having heard the echo of voices. He thought he recognized them, though it was difficult to tell with the strange acoustics of the prison at night.
Well, likely no matter. He wasn't looking to hook up with any other group.
He strode over to the doorway to the medical wing and used his superior strength to simply wrench the knob and break it, allowing the door to open.
"This is where quite a store of medical supplies are kept. Surgical ones in particular."
[...and then we have to find out where they'll go!]

And the most dangerous place to be. As he was, without sword or a fraction of his power, he wouldn't last long against any demon. He was trapped, so to speak. Regardless, he made note to head in that direction once he'd assisted Lingormr with the medical supplies.
"Powers?" he repeated the last part. Lingormr was talking about the patients as if all of them had some kind of special skills or powers. But hadn't Anise said they were human? Ryuugamine certainly hadn't seemed anything but ordinary(albeit helpful), though that could just as easily be the reason for the grievous injuries he seemed to have sustained. Was that what all of the patients here had in common then? Perhaps it was just another illusion, all the Atavists that had fallen under Inukami's control ended up here until he had use of them again. The possibilities were all fairly disheartening.
"Does everyone here have something like that?" he asked, "powers, I mean. Or skills, like you said?"
When Lingormr paused and quieted, Soushi did the same, watching the man's expression. There were voices, one of which was familiar, though he tried to keep from looking right at Anise for fear she might give him away. He turned just in time to see Lingormr wrench the door open, a gesture that might have been as simple a turn of the knob, if not for the breaking sounds that accompanied it. Lingormr was a lot stronger than he let on.
Giving a nod, he followed into the dark room.

“By the way,” Anise began as they walked, figuring it couldn't hurt to change the subject, “how did you end up getting cured? And… are you all better now?” She was looking at Claude, of course, though she gave Luke a glance too – going by his message on the bulletin, he definitely had a part in it.
Both of those were questions she'd been eager to ask for a while, and now seemed like the best time for it. Once they reached the greenhouse, there was a chance that they'd be too busy with monsters or whatever else to chat. For what it was worth, Claude didn't look awfully sick at the moment, and he hadn't said anything about it either. Those pointed to good news, but they didn't actually know how long it took for the cure to fully kick in.

"It was no big deal!" he expained, his face glowing with triumph at remembering how cool they had been, all coverty and professional! Those nurses didn't even see their awesome coming. "We slipped past the nurses and stole one right under their nose!" Of course, now that they were heading back to the greenhouse they should have grabbed more than one to give out to others. With Luke's skills in subterfuge and the blond's deft fingers they probably could have gotten away with it.

It was no surprise that Anise wanted to know about how Claude and Luke had stolen that flower; Guy had already asked, after all. It was also no surprise that Luke was the one to jump in and explain, all while looking very proud of himself.
Guy just sighed and shook his head. "Well, it's a good thing you two didn't get caught." Not that Guy imagined the nurses would have reacted that badly, but it was better not to stand out to the staff.
He glanced from Claude to Anise as they continued down the hall. "Both of your rashes are continuing to fade, right?" He wanted to keep an eye on their conditions, just in case things didn't go the way they were supposed to.

Hopefully they could put those skills to good use tonight, too. Granted, they had monsters instead of nurses to watch for this time, but with four people instead of two, that would probably still be a piece of cake.
When Guy asked his question, Claude glanced over at his friend before bringing his arm into the light of his hardhat. The markings were even lighter than when he'd first met up with Guy. "Sure looks that way," he answered as they turned into the next hall.
