Night 64: Intercom, Beginning of Night, ???
"Let's just cut to the chase, shall we?" It wasn't difficult for patients to hear the smile in his voice. "By the way, your movie selection for today was interesting -- quite interesting indeed! It made me wonder how many Judases you have among your own groups of acquaintances and friends. Of course, my schedule tells me that at least one of you will change into one of the beasts that haunt these hallways tonight. Once that happens, what will you need to do to save yoursel--"
The static suddenly grew louder, cutting the Head Doctor off mid-sentence. "What--? An error! But that can't--"
Soon, the noise drowned out the man's voice entirely.
A garbled automated female voice filtered though the noise.
"Initiating overrrrride. Initiaaaating o-overriiiiide. Authorization Code: 1458 HARRINGTON.
Messaaaaage: SOME OF YOU ARE A LITTLE UNDER THE WEATHER, AND SOME OF YOU ARE GOING TO CHANGE, BUT DON'T LET THEM PUSH YOU DOWN. THERE IS A WAY TO CURE YOU. WE'RE NOT SURE HOW YET, BUT THERE IS A WAY. THE X-RAY ROOM IN THE MED WING WILL SHOW YOU WHAT WE KNOW, AND MAYBE YOU CAN FIGURE OUT A WAY TO HELP YOURSELVES. GOOD LUCK."
The static swelled a moment before I.R.I.S. spoke again.
"Messaaaage ffffinished. We Alll Fffall Dddown--"
The intercom shut down so abruptly that it wasn't hard to imagine someone yanking the plug out in a fit of rage.
