Despite the pain burning at the back of his leg, Kurogane did not stop to see to the wound once he was beyond the wall. Brainwashed or not, he wasn't going to take a chance that the machine wouldn't be right behind him. He'd already taken enough of a chance in getting away from the thing, and now he was injured for it; he wouldn't risk taking another hit.
So he kept running, ignoring the pain with each footfall as he rushed for the Cafeteria doors. If he was taking any risks now, it was his hope that there was nothing in the Courtyard to impede him further.
