When Anise thought about it, it did kind of seem like she was more anxious than usual, even though she wasn't really doing anything different from usual.
Maybe it was the knowledge of what Ilia was getting into. Anise had been watching the bulletin board, and she saw someone (it looked like Claude's handwriting) trying to dissuade her and her companions one last time... but it was no good. Short of going down there and stopping them by force, it didn't look like anything Anise or anyone else did would stop them.
At this point, all she could do was hope. Hope that they'd get slowed down by something - a monster attack, a teammate suffering from that weird sleeping affliction, anything! And that if they did make it... Ilia wouldn't be among the ones on the battle floor. A selfless person like her, she'd definitely...
... Despite the dreadful feeling of something twisting her in stomach, Anise had to try not to get worked up about it. She had to be ready to do her part tonight.
